§ 12-19. Scope of jurisdiction.

The Municipal Court shall try violations of municipal ordinances and shall have the power and authority to impose fines upon persons convicted of the offenses, with the alternative of other punishment allowed by law if such fines are not paid. The court shall function according to guidelines found in O.C.G.A. § 36-32-1 et seq.
