§ 2-51. Oaths.

  • All officers and employees required by Charter or some other provision of law to take an oath shall, before entering upon the discharge of their respective duties, take and subscribe the following oath before an officer authorized by law to administer oaths:

    "I do solemnly (swear) (affirm) that I will faithfully perform the duties of (Mayor) (councilmember) of this city and that I will support and defend the Charter thereof as well as the Constitution and laws of the State of Georgia and of the United States of America."
