§ 2-165. Code Enforcement Officer.

  • A Code Enforcement Officer may be employed by the City. The functions of the Code Enforcement Officer shall be assigned by Mayor and City Council and may principally include the investigation and execution of enforcement actions when there is alleged to be a violation of any provision of this Code. In the absence of such appointment of a person or company under contract as Code Enforcement Officer, the Police Chief shall serve as the Code Enforcement Officer; provided, however, that nothing in this Section shall prevent the City Clerk from exercising administrative and enforcement responsibilities of any provision of this Code.
