§ 32-54. Maximum exemption of $10,000.00 of total value of residence.
Latest version.
The value of a qualified homestead is exempted from ad valorem taxation up to a maximum of $10,000.00. The value of each qualified residence in excess of $10,000.00 shall remain subject to taxation. The homestead exemption provided for in this section shall not apply to any ad valorem taxes levied to pay interest on and retire bonded indebtedness.
