§ 36-42. Meter tests.

Latest version.
  • The City may, at its own expense, make periodic tests and inspections of its meters in order to maintain a high standard of accuracy. The City will make additional tests or inspections of its meters at the request of the customer. If tests made at the customer's request show that the meter is accurate within two percent, slow or fast, no adjustment will be made in the customer's bill, and the City's standard testing charge will be paid by the customer. In case the test shows the meter to be in excess of two percent, fast or slow, an adjustment shall be made in the customer's bill over a period of not over 30 days prior to the date of such test, and the cost of making the test shall be borne by the City.
