§ 36-45. Maintenance of seals.

The maintenance of seals on the electric and water meters of the City shall be the sole responsibility of the customer. If the seal on any meter furnished by the City to any customer if found to be broken, service to such customer shall, upon ten days written notice to the customer, be immediately discontinued. The City shall have the authority to waive the requirement of discontinuance in situations where a determination can be made, on the basis of proper evidence, that the seal on such customer's meter was broken through no fault of the customer.
