§ 8-96. Life insurers.

  • Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 33-8-8.1, in addition to administrative fees imposed under this article, each life insurance company writing life, accident, and sickness insurance within the City shall pay an annual occupation tax equal to one percent of gross direct premiums received during the preceding calendar year. For purposes of this section, gross direct premiums means gross direct premiums as used in O.C.G.A. § 33-8-4. This tax is in addition to administrative fees assessed in this article.
